The waterjet cutting machine is the non-thermal cutting process, using a thin stream of water with abrasive which are pushed through the nozzle to cut the material. The abrasive & water hits the material with ultra-high pressure & velocity through the smallest opening of nozzle to pass through the work piece. It can cut the material includes aluminum, steel, stainless steel, granite, even glass & stone. It removes the material by erosion, tiny amount of heat is generated so there is no heat affect zone, water stream keeps going straight that results in extremely perfect and accurate cut edge on many different materials.

Functions & Features

The waterjet cutting machine table supports the material to place, contains the bridge that moves the cutting head on its axes and provides stability when cutting the materials. The highly accelerated jet of water is passing through the nozzle in a very high momentum as a hard & sharp knife that can easily strike the material to get to the required product.
It has a very simple functional principle, there is a huge water reservoir to life the water by using the high-pressure water pump to supply the intensifier. Then, moves to the accumulator for temporary storage and is supplied to valves that take the control to pass the required quantity and required pressure.
Entering the flow regulators to get the direction to pass through the nozzle, creates the high-velocity outlet of water & abrasive slurry to remove the material underneath. The nozzle head helps to achieve a greater quality of output by forming a consistent jet of water inside it, maximum uptime therefore saving operational cost and machining power.

High Pressure Pump - BFT (Austria)

In the waterjet cutting machine, high-pressure streamline pump produces a force that capable of reliably delivering ultra-high-pressure water for cutting. It uses the high-pressure intensifier principle to create steady water pressure which improves conformity as well reduces the delamination for composite material and maximizes the quality of the waterjet cutting process.

Components of The Machine

3 Axis ECS Controller
After programming the instructions properly, it guides the cutting head to move to the required place over the machine’s bed while performing the operations to get desired results.

Servo Drive & Motor
It is the control system of the machine to move the gantry for the process through the signals and transfers the electric current to the motor to operate the machine components.

Gantry
The gantry hangs over the worktable to perform the machining process, rapid movement lifts up & down above the worktable and locates the place to remove the material.

Machine Frame
The solid machine frame structure goes under annealing treatment to preserve the product from high-frequency vibration, resonance, distortion and thermal expansion.

CAD/CAM Software
This waterjet machine has CAD/CAM software which is used for the accurate cutting action, properly regulating the process and easy to give instruction even for complex structures. It is designed more efficiently with automated nesting capability and gives a cutting preview.
